PE

PE is every Friday in Year 6. Parents should make sure children’s earrings are taken out or covered with tape. Children should come into school in their PE kit on these days.

• The Final Year by Matt Goodfellow – A relevant text to us as it tells the story of a life from the end of Year 5 to the end of Primary School. 
• Skellig by David Almond – A mysterious creature and a crisis at home, a truly thrilling novel!
• Kensuke’s Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo – A must read for any upper key stage 2 pupil. 
• Goodnight Mister Tom by Michelle Magorian – A truly emotional story that links to our World War 2 topic this year.
• The Railway Children by E Nesbit  – If Goodnight Mister Tom didn’t pull at your heartstrings, try the Railway Children next. A truly emotional story.
